WCC COVID-19 RESPONSE INFORMATION
Dear Wayzata Country Club Members,
As always, and now more than ever, I hope that this message finds you and your families well.As you all know the Coronavirus pandemic is an unprecedented event, and the situation continues to evolve daily as our leaders try to slow the spread of the virus. Governor Walz has issued an Executive order that temporarily closes restaurants, bars and other places of amusement. This order begins at 5:00 pm today and continues through March 27th (for now). The expectation from the Governor is that this is just the beginning of the process, and that the closures will be extended in the future.
In order to do our part and help stem the tide of the virus, WCC will be closing the Grille and Bar at 3:00 pm today. Our dining facilities will remain closed while the order is in place. We will continue to review and follow the guidelines of the Minnesota Department of Health, the CDC and other applicable government agencies, as applicable to our food and beverage and other operations.
Another part of Governor Walz’ order was that restaurants will be able to offer takeout food. We plan to offer takeout food for pickup at valet. Please note that there are parts of the Executive order regarding takeout food pertaining to tamper-free packaging, “contactless” delivery and 6’ of social distancing that we need to firm up our processes on, but we will do so. We will be offering To Go service from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm Tuesday-Saturday and 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Sunday. In the grand scheme of things takeout food may not be a lot, but if it helps our Members even the slightest bit we stand ready to do so.
I will continue to provide updates as necessary.
Thank you very much.Take care,Chris Gerardi
