Wayzata Country Club’s carefully maintained and upgraded championship course designed by Robert Bruce Harris, has matured beautifully into one of the premier courses in the area. The primary goal of WCC founders was to provide members with a championship golf course that would challenge highly skilled players, yet be playable for golfers of all skill levels. Members are proud that this goal was met.
The Season’s Highlights include: Wahoo Tournament, Guest Days, Invitational Tournament, Inter-Club Competition, Club Championships, Senior Events, League Play, Junior Lessons and Leagues, and Women’s 9 & 18-Hole Leagues.
WCC has proudly hosted two USGA National Championships. In 1984, we hosted the USGA Jr. Amateur and in 1994 we co-hosted the USGA Mid-Amateur with Hazeltine National. Throughout the years, Wayzata Country Club has hosted over 20 various State Championships, including the 2005 MWGA Stroke Play Championship, and numerous USGA qualifying events.
Our professional golf staff provides lessons and clinics throughout the season to help first-time golfers get started and to polish the skills of our more practiced golfers. Elite programming and expert staff members create a golf experience that surpasses mere recreation.
A full line of golf equipment, accessories and fashions are available in the WCC Golf Pro Shop. Our Golf Shop has been recognized as one of the top 100 golf shops in the country - and one of the top 20 private country club golf shops. We provide our members with a discounted buying program and a comfortable shopping environment that caters to their needs on and off the golf course. Our golf staff provides excellent service and we are always striving to exceed expectations.
